In 2002, Jiménez Deredia installed a trinitarian Christ sculpture for the Cathedral of the port city of Limón, Costa Rica. For the artist, Christ embodies life and the symbolic force of humanity’s process of transformation. The three figures of the sculpture represent this passage: from death to life, from darkness to twilight, and from twilight to light.
Cast in bronze, the work measures 5.25 × 3.80 meters.
