In 2002, Jiménez Deredia placed a triune Christ for the cathedral in the port of Limón, Costa Rica. For the artist, Christ represents life and the symbolic force of human transformation. The three figures in the sculpture represent this process: the passage from death to life, from darkness to shadow, and from shadow to light. The bronze work measures 5.25 x 3.80 m.
