In January 2000, Jiménez Deredia inaugurated the sculpture Eternal Feminine/Eternal Masculine at the Costa Rican Presidential Palace. The bronze work measures 5 x 2.40 x 0.80 meters and depicts a male and female torso joined together at the back, symbolizing the union of opposites.
