From October 12, 2022, to January 2024, the city of Miami hosted the monumental sculpture exhibition Jiménez Deredia in Miami – A Bridge of Light. The exhibition took place in Maurice A. Ferré Park and was organized by the Bayfront Park Management Trust in collaboration with the Cuban Diaspora Museum.
Jiménez Deredia’s exhibition fosters dialogue between art and public space as a vital and socially relevant experience.
This relationship is imbued with a unique energy, expressed in the emotion evoked by the interaction between the urban landscape and the sculptures. The goal of the exhibition is not only to promote coexistence among people, but also to offer a singular aesthetic experience. With this exhibition, Miami becomes a bridge of light to the world—and Deredia’s art, a message of hope.
