From April to September 2018, the city of Lucca, Italy, hosted an exhibition by artist Jiménez Deredia, organized with the support of the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca, Fondazione Lucca Sviluppo, and the City of Lucca. The exhibition was under the curatorship of Massimiliano Simoni, director of Artitaly.
“Deredia in Lucca. Cosmic Energy in the Sculptures of Jiménez Deredia” featured monumental bronze and marble sculptures displayed in the main squares of Lucca’s historic center. At the same time, the free-entry event extended to Palazzo delle Esposizioni of the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca, located at Piazza San Martino 7, where the artist presented medium- and small-scale works.
