JIMÉNEZ DEREDIA
IN MEXICO CITY
Jiménez Deredia – November / March 2016
In this exhibition, the artist unveiled 15 monumental sculptural groups in marble and bronze, installed along a prominent urban route extending from the esplanade of the Palace of Fine Arts to Plaza de la República, through Alameda Central and Paseo de la Reforma. Defined by his signature circular and ovoid forms, the sculptures guided visitors through a fluid and harmonious dialogue with the surrounding urban environment.
The exhibition was organized by the Government of Mexico City in collaboration with the National Institute of Fine Arts and the National Council for Culture and the Arts, with the support of Fomento Cultural Grupo Salinas.
