In July 2011, sculptor Jiménez Deredia inaugurated a monumental exhibition in the city of La Baule in Brittany, France. The municipality offered the artist the city's most important squares and public spaces to honor the Costa Rican master's artistic career. Eleven monumental sculptures were on display until October 2011 at the Gare de La Baule Escoublac, the Parvis d'Atlantia, the Place des Palmiers, and the Esplanade François André.
