CHILDREN'S MUSEUM IN COSTA RICA
In 1998, Jiménez Deredia undertook a sculptural project at the Children's Museum of Costa Rica, the former San José penitentiary. The sculptor's intervention focuses on three fundamental elements: a) the placement of three original pre-Columbian Boruca spheres aligned with the belt of the Orion constellation, located at the main entrance of the building; b) the placement of a horizontal Genesis 5.70 meters long that occupies the side of the garden; c) the placement of an 8-meter-high Cosmic Image at the entrance to the Museum auditorium.
