JIMÉNEZ DEREDIA
IN SICILY
Jiménez Deredia - The Contemporary Myth - May/July 2012
From May to July 2012, the city of Trapani, Sicily, Italy, hosted monumental bronze and marble works by artist Jiménez Deredia. On that occasion, the master's sculptures were placed at the Birgi "Vincenzi Florio" Airport and in the main streets and squares of Trapani's old town. Much of Deredia's artistic work was also displayed in the Agora of the Segesta Archaeological Park, the largest in the Mediterranean, a place of worship and adoration with a charm that has remained intact over time, thus creating an ideal bridge between the ancient world and contemporary culture.
