For over 15 years, Galleries Bartoux and the Municipality of Courchevel, nestled in the French Alps, have presented L’Art au Sommet (Art on the Peaks), an extraordinary open-air art event. At 1,850 meters above sea level, the town of Courchevel and its surrounding peaks are transformed each winter into an open-air museum, showcasing monumental sculptures by some of the world’s most celebrated contemporary artists—including Salvador Dalí, Jean-Michel Folon, Fernando Botero, Bruno Catalano, and Lorenzo Quinn, among others.
From December 2023 to May 2024, the exclusive alpine town has invited Jiménez Deredia to engage in a powerful artistic dialogue with the majesty of its snow-covered mountains—bringing his iconic sculptural forms into harmony with one of Europe’s most breathtaking natural landscapes.
